Program Abstract
When litigation is fought “in the red zone”, legal costs—like the stakes for the parties—are usually high. But can this be mitigated by creative fee structures and incentives for efficiency in case management? The symposium will be limited to 15-25 attendees in order to promote more in-depth (but informal) dialogue. This 3-hour roundtable will bring together general counsel, litigation chiefs, large case litigators, trial judges and relevant commentators to discuss and debate big case histories. In response to growing concern over business cyber security, the Chicago FBI Cyber Squad will present also at this program and take questions.

Presenting or leading the dialog at the symposium will be:
Edwin Brooks, Partner, McGuire Woods LLP
Matt Donnelly, Deputy Chief Legal Officer and Head of Litigation, The Cleveland Clinic
Michael Freeman, Litigation Chief, Tort and Regulatory Litigation, Walgreens
Sean Gallagher, Partner, Bartlit Beck Herman Palenchar & Scott
Adam Hoeflich, Partner, Bartlit Beck Herman Palenchar & Scott
Michael Keating, Vice President, Global Litigation, Emerson Electric
Amy Manning, Partner, McGuireWoods LLP
Kyle McClain, Litigation Chief, Monsanto
And discussing cyber threats, FBI Chicago Cyber Squad

And other leading commercial insurance executives, thought leaders, and corporate risk executives
